Centrepiece Theatre is based in Canberra, Australia. The company was born around a kitchen table, with the help of a couple of bottles of wine, in mid 2004. Our aim is to make a significant and ongoing contribution to the variety and quality of locally produced theatre, providing opportunities for artists to develop their talents and skills and to explore exciting work with our audiences.
Centrepiece has presented a variety of work from the classic farce of Moliere through to an edgy new Australian play by Brendan Cowell. We have also commissioned and presented new work by local playwrights Hadley and Stu Roberts. Check out the Productions/Gallery tab for details of all Centrepiece's productions.

This eclectic mix represents our own taste in theatre. We love re-working classics for a contemporary audience, we’re excited by new plays and Australian stories, and we laugh ourselves silly over a good farce. We passionately believe that while theatre may educate, inform and instruct, it should, above all else, ENTERTAIN. Let us entertain you. Cheers, Jordan & Jim |
